Apple Loses $19 Mil. Patent Infringement Case

Opti, Inc. recently won a $19 million lawsuit against Apple. A District Court in Texas found that Apple willfully infringed on Opti’s patent for software which facilitates computer retrieving previously accessed data.

Apple unsuccessfully argued that the patent was invalid due to obviousness and anticipation. Opti was awarded damages to compensate Opti for the infringement.
